Last week it was all about the signs of overtraining. Today it's about the exact opposite: signs that announce top form. In itself a great thing, you just have to be careful that it doesn't come too early. Because you can usually only hold them for four to a maximum of six weeks.
If the foundation is good and broad, then a surprisingly few units are usually enough to provoke an increase in form. In some cases, four weeks of intensive training are enough. Running is particularly easy, as it is also the most physically demanding discipline. As a result, not only does the running form improve, the other two disciplines also benefit from the increase in general performance.
Here are a few points to look out for:
- Great mood for several days to weeks, despite hard training
- the "almost effortless" achievement of better and better training results, for example previously unattainable Top speed while running, with a constant pulse
- the pace comes by itself without having to exert pressure, the body basically only wants to be in 5th gear, and everything else is boring
- The training is not a burden, on the contrary, there is a real "hunger" for more and harder training
- As good as no more heavy legs, especially when climbing stairs
- good sleep
- increased libido
- due to the increased endogenous testosterone release, unusually defined muscles and fat loss
If you notice several signs of this then congratulations, you are really fit!
However, if the form comes too early, the following will help:
For 2-4 weeks back to basic training, always staying below 80% of the HRmax - That's it!
Then you can provoke a new rise. Maybe you can build in 1-2 competitions beforehand in order to use the good shape. What is often done wrong, however, is to believe that you can always raise the bar and raise the shape to infinite. Then at some point you run the risk of slipping into overtraining. The clearest sign of this is that you can no longer improve the training record times that have been set up again and again and you have reached a plateau. At this point at the latest, all alarm bells must ring and you should drive back.
Have a nice Weekend
