Weekly training

Krelli (left) starts to overtake Ole Einar "Tietze" !!
Last week's training was still very much shaped by the onset of winter. Nowhere have I ever found 1-2 kilometers on which I could run ice-free, so I just let it be from Thursday evening. Fortunately, it thaws again this morning.
From Friday on I went cross-country skiing, which I look forward to like a snow king every time. Finally something completely different and it's great fun when the conditions are right. The classic style is more likely to replace running, whereas the skating style is more likely to replace cycling or use the same muscle groups. So in the end it didn't matter that I didn't run for a few days 😉

In such conditions, I replace cycling with coupling strength units in the studio. 2-3 units of this are easily enough to keep the bike in shape, on the contrary, the strength in the legs even seems to increase. I observed this especially when swimming, when we swam “legs”. Suddenly I went off like a schnitzel and even lapped the people swimming in front of me !! 😉

So don't worry if the conditions currently allow less training, even top athletes like the Dane Henning Rasmus only train for 12-14 hours in winter. And compare that to their training times in summer or training camps.

A dream, and right on the doorstep 🙂

nice start to the week!!
