what does a triathlete do when he is sick at home?

He remembers with nostalgia how fit he used to be (above picture at the Nations Parade in Hawaii in 2008). In the meantime I've gained what feels like 10kg and is guaranteed to lose all the fitness I've ever had

After more than two weeks, my fingertips are still numb from the frostbite I suffered on the mountain bike tour at -15 degrees. After I called all of my friends who have anything to do with medicine, it is foreseeable that the fingers will recover. I have had to cure my shoulder for over a week because I probably meant it a little too well by swimming ...
Now I got a fever two days ago and now I don't do anything anymore.

Well, except of course playing "Fallout3" all day, getting me videos from the rental shop down on the corner, reading and sleeping. By the way, you absolutely have to borrow “96 hours”, a blatant film. Otherwise I can recommend “Outlander” for the fantasy faction, which is not bad either. What I can't recommend is "Eden-Log", because I couldn't sleep all night 🙂
If your video library is really well stocked, then you should definitely take a look at “Army of Darkness” (a little older, from 1993). A great strip. Should an army of skeletons lay siege to your castle, palace or house, then you know what to do !!! 😉

cool side
A friend of mine once tried to compile all the athletic and stretching exercises recommended for triathletes on one page and to depict them graphically with the help of small films. I think it's very successful and at this point I would like to mention his site:
http://www.tri-athletik.de/

It's not quite finished yet, but a lot is already there and I think it's great that he went to all the trouble. Exercises for better core stability are particularly indispensable for triathletes. You benefit from it in all three disciplines.

continue happy holidays !!

  1. With 10kg more on the hip, the training effect is all the better 🙂

I can only recommend the film, 96 hours, to everyone. Exciting from the first to the last minute!
Hopefully you'll be fit again by December 31st, otherwise I'll have to fight my way through the runners' field all by myself 🙂

    Greetings,
    Ivan
