Today I saw Chrissie Wellington, in a very good mood, achieve a dream time of 8:19 hours at Challenge Roth. With that she was seventh in the overall ranking and humiliated quite a few seasoned professional men, most of whom she left behind.
I'm lost for words!
This would make her the only woman who could take overall victory in a relatively “weak” Ironman or long distance race. I don't think anyone would have thought that before the appearance of the "Chrissie Wellington Phenomenon".
