Triathletes are extremely innovative and have one thing in common: they are always looking for ways to get faster. You can save a lot of time on the bike. Especially with an optimal position. If in the past it was only talked about with professionals that they had themselves optimized on the cycling track, this is now also possible for us amateurs.
Grischa Janorschke, whom I have known well for many years, found the solution together with Fritz Meingast. Both now offer aero optimizations on the cycling track. In the first round I sent two of my athletes to him. In both cases a clear improvement could be achieved, namely 15-20 watts. That doesn't sound like much at first, but it's a blatant difference. For one of the athletes this adds up to a 35-45min faster time on the 180km bike course. And that without additional training!
In winter and spring in particular, time is ideal for optimizing your position, since for most people training on the time trial bike only begins when the temperatures are stable again in the double-digit range. This gives the athletes enough time to get into their new position. In my opinion, 2-3 months should definitely be planned for this. Have a look at it! I myself will of course also go to the cycling track in winter, and I will report!
have fun watching Hawaii tonight!
