Almost as announced a few days ago, won Andi Dreitz today the triathlon classic at Rothsee. But in a manner that was in no way inferior to the 4: 1 victory of the Germans. Coming out of the water in about 12th place, Andi not only left Thomas Hellriegel at the bike, but everyone else too. With by far the fastest cycling time of the day, he got off the bike after 40 kilometers and with an incredible lead of almost 2 minutes before "Hell on Wheels". This allowed him to tackle the final 10 kilometers relatively comfortably. Ultimately, he took first place with a good over a minute ahead of a brilliantly catching up Dorian Wagner in second place, before the old master Hellriegel came in third.
