Training diary June & aftermath

Hi Guys,

So that I can finish the short series, I am attaching my training diary from June. So you have exactly the training times in January that I reeled off for the Challenge Roth preparation. For the older training diaries just go to the “blog archive”.

In June I have almost exactly 65 hours trained.
I was of that 30km in the water on road,
242km I've got my knuckles expired
and in the end I was still 1100km cycled.

The intensity was a bit higher than in the previous months, so shortly before the most important race it was appropriate. Actually, I wanted to increase the amount of training at the same time, but I only succeeded in cycling. In addition to work, increasing both the intensity and the scope is almost impossible without additional vacation. I then decided on the former, a good choice in retrospect 😉

The last few weeks I was really stressed and partly pissed off, so thank you very much for the understanding from my immediate surroundings! Fortunately, everyone now knows, "yes, after the competition, it's normal again, just leave it" 🙂

Since January, I have therefore trained about 16 hours a week, including both the regeneration weeks and the training camp.

In short, the redder the color, the more intense the unity. Usually the average heart rate is included. The number means which unit of the day it was. Framed units are coupled training. The hours are on the left and the kilometers on the right ... have I forgotten something? Just let me know!

In the meantime I've digested my race on Sunday. My ankles have returned to normal after becoming so swollen that I looked like I had "elephant feet". Monday to Tuesday my legs hurt a lot and I could hardly get out of bed and wanted to roll into the elevator with the office chair at noon, drive up to the canteen to eat my 5kg of meat.

Speaking of which, on the Sunday after the race I absolutely needed something salty and meaty, chewed these gels and bars all day, disgusting! So we drove straight to the McD in Roth, but drove on straight away, as there must have been a row of 200 cars in front of the McDrive. Was that the other participants? 😉
So back to Nuremberg and straight to the kebab stand that I trust, when I got there, I treated myself to two pieces first, aaahhhh what a treat. After that I got a little nauseous ...

What do I learn from this, you should give your stomach some time to relax after such a race :))

Today I'm fine again, on Saturday we're going on vacation and I've got a lot of new reading material, I won't move a meter too much, lie lazy and fed up on the beach all day, I'm looking forward to it!

Many greetings

krelli
