Are there actually gyms that open at 8 a.m.? Fortunately, if it is also just around the corner from the company and after training you can jump straight to work without wasting a lot of time.
The training plan suggests a very understanding employer, because 1 hour of running at noon will be changed with 2x and a quick shower for 1 1/2 hours.
One can only wish for such training conditions and are unfortunately not available to everyone.
Hi,
thank you for your comment.
There are even studios that open at 6am. Mine was unfortunately only 7 a.m. and about 15 minutes away from work by bike.
Have to admit that my employer is very understanding towards sports as long as the work doesn't suffer. On the contrary, after a lunch run I'm fresher than after a huge lunch 😉
In the end it is just a suggestion, I am aware that these conditions do not prevail with the majority. In such a case, you could increase the training time on the weekend ... In my experience, employers prefer to come a little later and do your stuff than go home early ...

Hi Krelli,
briefly on your "shoe problem". Take a look at the Fa Newton. They are very new to the market and specialize in forefoot runners with a new technique. But I heard the bell that in the near future a metatarsal shoe (German is so simple;)) should come….

Hello Toby,
the shoes are pure forefoot running shoes and not at all suitable for metatarsals? where do you get them in Germany?
greetings
Dennis
Yes, I've also heard of the Newton, which is supposedly only available in the USA, there is something going on in Germany as well as on ebay. I would not like to order them and then find out that they do not fit. On the other hand, getting rid of them on ebay will definitely get you ... 🙂
Hi Krelli + Dennis,
Newton says that you can also walk with it on the metatarsus and that the shoes increasingly tempt you to walk forefoot. There are dealers in the UK and Switzerland from whom you should be able to buy the shoes. Can be read on Newton's HP ...
Hi Toby,
I'm a forefoot runner for short distances. So that would fit. The longer the distance, however, the more you tend to do medium or very long distances, due to fatigue, to walking on the back of the foot 😉 At least that's how it is for me ...
