After a few days of quiet training, we went up the Teide this morning. With a height of approx. 3700m, it is also the highest mountain in Spain. At the beginning we walked along the path at a trot pace, but after 45 minutes at the latest this became a torture or no longer worked. After an hour we were about 6.5 km up the path and overcame about 1000 meters of altitude. From there moving forward became an adventure tour. With sneakers (lightweight trainers) we slipped more badly than right up the icy and snow-covered paths. At some point turning back was no longer an option, otherwise we would have tumbled down the next slope, goodbye. After 2:30 hours we suddenly came out somewhere above the mountain station. In the meantime, the height was already bothering us, it was unanimously decided to use the gondola lift to go astray π
In the meantime we are back at the hotel, just missed lunch and are therefore very hungry. In the evening there is another swim in the 50m outdoor pool in the T3 Center. Only in the evening, because at this time the Russian national team has finished training, before that I don't dare to go into the pool, if I'm honest π The boys and girls swim their easy pace with a transit time of 33sec on the 50m. You can imagine how we look next to it * laughs * ... kind of like driftwood blocking the path.
++++
Then tonight, we came and the last swimmers finished the training with a few quick 50s (after a total of 7km swim training in the afternoon). The slowest took just 27 seconds for a lane. This lame toad actually looked almost like me ... where, I just got an idea for the next competition ... haha
sunny greetings

Hi Krelli! Take care that you are not positive in the next doping test just because the Russians peed in the pool π Much fun yet Werner
Well, it's not a real training camp for us, but rather for the participants. I'm basically one of the supervisors π But January is very early, so you're right. The focus here is now on swimming.

thank you Werner,
we don't want to assume anything, they are so fast too. No wonder if you swim 15km a day! We would even become something there.
Why do you go to training camp in January? February would be early ...

Hi Dominik,

But it's still fun!
