After my three introductory weeks were up, I increased the scope a little last week. Due to the dry weather conditions that we usually have here in Nuremberg, cycling outside was still quite passable. When running, I first increase the number of units before increasing the length. Fridays "easy run" with Andi Dreitz and on Saturday the first long run in a year. Then I was as flat as a flounder.
I noticed that yesterday when I was leaving with Captain Chaos. Hardly out of town, he started: “Today you drive like a alder Mo”. If, like him, you cycle 20,000 - 30,000 kilometers a year, it must feel like that. In the evening I actually wanted to swim, but was too knocked out
What I noticed at the end of the week is that my metabolism is starting to get going again. A good sign that the body is preparing for the increased training accordingly. It also makes it much easier to reach my old fighting weight of 81kg. The sad truth is that I don't seem to lose an ounce in less than 15 hours of training / week. At the moment I still have to drop 6kg 😉
