first part:
Next weekend I plan to visit my old warhorse Steffen (see picture) in Lichtenfels. After his prompt reply, I knew that I had made a mistake!
Steffen starts this year as a professional and is currently preparing for Ironman Australia in April. Full of enthusiasm and motivation, he sent me his training plan in his reply.
Shocked and full of horror, I glanced at what to expect this weekend.
Friday: 5 hours cycling + 45 min run (GA2)
Saturday: 3.5 hours run (GA1, approx. 42km), Steffen simply runs a marathon during training !!
In the evening another hour of swimming, 500 intervals
Sunday: 6 hours of cycling + 1 hour of running (increase)

So Steffen, if you go through with it like that, you bit my secret favorite at Ironman Australia. I can only say so much about it!
