after a restful night we docked in Dominica the next morning. This is also where the first bike tour of our trips went. From the port to the island's volcanic lake. The interesting thing about the route was undoubtedly the altitude difference. We drove from sea level to almost 1000m, on a distance of only 15km. Now everyone can imagine what the profile looked like. Uphill from every meter, sometimes with climbs up to 25%, where I had to lean as far forward as possible to keep my front wheel on the road. We were also hit five times by heavy rains, so now I at least know why it is called rainforest 😉
