The week before last, I was tidying up the basement and moving a cupboard to one side when I felt a sudden sting in my knee while lifting it. Kind of like an electric shock. Nothing thought about it and it went on. The next day I was on the track again for the first time. After two or three days, however, I noticed an uncomfortable feeling in my left knee. Fortunately, I am very sensitive to such things, almost hypochondriacally disposed, and immediately knew what was wrong.
The doctor I trust and sports colleague Dr. Dobmeier called from Bamberg, who immediately sent me to do nuclear spin. The diagnosis: partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament
Luck in misfortune, it is not completely torn off, because then it heals again on its own. However, there is a catch: I have been wearing a leg brace for two months since yesterday and am not allowed to walk for three months! Of course, that frustrates me at first. Since in November, after I have gained 20kg, I will probably only start with a 7-cut again at the beginning.
Well, maybe it won't be that bad, but there's nothing I can do about it. And everything is not lost either, you guessed it ... EXACTLY, as a triathlete you have it better here than everyone else. I am allowed to swim, with Pullbouy and only push off with my right leg, but at least! I'll be able to cycle flat again in two or three weeks 😉
Then I just go swimming every day, about 20-30km a week, and Chuck Norris and I will work on my swimming performance, which is in need of improvement ... haha
But one thing I know for sure, I will NEVER move cupboards and, above all, tidy up again, that is far too risky for me and carries unimaginable dangers!
Have a nice Weekend

I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery! I am currently also incapacitated due to a cold and I also miss running immensely. 🙂
Best regards,
Torsten
we can swap! 😉
I hope you get well soon! Better to take it easy than to want too much too quickly. You don't have to earn any money with triathlon. 😉
thank you Heiko!
Don't worry, triathlon is a premium business 😉 When will I see your registration for R&B or have I overlooked it? 😉
I wish you a speedy recovery and a good clearing and moving service in the future 😉
PS: Unfortunately we can't come to R&B either, so I'm probably hanging around somewhere in the Hohe Tauren on the Gloßglocker and wondering what I'm doing ...
