Season break

Challenge Roth 2009, the last few meters ... I look old in the photo !!

I have had problems in my shoulder for half a year now and have therefore barely been able to swim a meter since Christmas. After several examinations, it is finally out, the shoulder has to be operated on because the "biceps anchor" has torn. What a bummer 🙁

Has anyone ever had something similar? The operation wouldn't even be the worst, but the follow-up treatment takes a good 8 weeks, during which the arm is fixed and I can hardly do anything, except maybe hovering around monotonously on the recumbent bike! Oh yes, I could do leg presses in the studio for hours and then get back into training with thighs that would make Jan Ullrich green with envy 😉

Anyway, now I have to make sure that I get an operation quickly and can at least take a little bit of the season with me and at the same time don't gain 10kg during the break 😉

see you later!

  1. Hello Krelli,

that does not sound good. I hope that you will spontaneously heal yourself shortly before the operation or at the latest immediately afterwards.

    Dig in!

  2. Oh shock, an operation ... after all, the cause is now clear and will then be eliminated.
I keep my fingers crossed for a quick recovery and after that everyone will only see your "taillights"!

    PS The book is great!

  3. Get well. Incidentally, I looked through your book and improved my best time by 8 minutes. So it works 🙂
Get well soon and cheer up, that'll be fine. Thank god I've never had anything like it.
    Many greetings from Zabo (Nuremberg)

  4. Hi Krelli,

Don't let your head hang, you can do it with your left hand ... You also have more time to devote yourself to your blog and all of your events. You will definitely have great ideas again, we are curious! See you soon…

  5. Hello Krelli,
After having had severe shoulder problems for almost 4 years and I couldn't swim the crawl for the last two years, I had an operation in Heidelberg in April (reconstruction of the rotator cuff, especially the supraspinatus tendon and long biceps tendon).
If you want to learn more, we should exchange personal messages outside of this blog.
