... the toughest 400m in the world! What sounds so crazy here, it is. The aim of the race is to climb the Kulm, Austria's most spectacular ski-flying hill, as quickly as possible. An average of 36 degrees incline on 400m. First it goes up the jumping slope to the jump table and then the diving tower all the way to the top. As a former ski jumper, I can imagine what that means. Thigh pain and lactate levels of unimagined heights!

My athlete Armin also took part on the weekend and made it into the top 50 final and finished 32nd there. His time was 6:35 minutes. When he was running down, however, the mishap happened to him and for a week he will probably not only be the conqueror of the Kulm, but also Armin the elephant's foot. Thank God nothing bad happened 😉
