After letting the sun shine on our stomachs for a week, we wanted to at least try a little active tour while on vacation. On Thursday we set our sights on the symbol of Sicily and cycled the 50km up to the Etna volcano.

Julia was able to practice vigorously for the upcoming Gigathlon and in the meantime I burned my arms, it was so hot. The first 10km were the most strenuous and then, when we were finally out of town, it was really idyllic. We drove up the old road and were only interrupted once when we had to stop for filming. When I saw the filmed chase scene with men in black suits, I first of all thought of James Bond, Hollywood and co. In retrospect, however, it turned out that it was for a "cruise to happiness". A rather unfamiliar film genre 😉
