I am currently writing the second chapter and especially about how best to combine daily training with work life. Perhaps one or the other remembers that I am writing a book with Bennie Lindberg for spomedis Verlag (triathlon magazine). I think I've covered pretty much a lot on this topic by now. I'm sure there are still things that I overlooked.
Do you have any good tips, tricks or ways to balance your training with your daily work ???
For example, on the way to work by bike, do traffic light sprints for speed. Run during the lunch break or if you have less time, then only run ABC, etc ...
If so, and you feel like it, just send me your ideas!
It is best to use the comment function at the end of this text, or by email to: mkrell@gmx.de
The best will of course be included in the book and published here on the page with name and dedication!
go on…

What is going well with me:
During (weekly) business trips during the lunch break, make a stop in the swimming pool! Great because very empty and if you pass it on the way you can use the time as effectively as when running 😉
Hi,
that fits like a fist in the eye !! We create three sample training plans, and one of them for “the sales person”, that is to say for everyone who is constantly on business trips. We have also come up with a special “hotel room workout” for this purpose 😉
many greetings & thank you

PS: I assume you always have swimming and running gear in the car?
NEVER take the lift, no matter where and how many steps are in the way and how often you have to go up and down every day.
You just have to plan the working week correctly ...
Monday: Long bike unit planned. For the boss: “I'm sick. I think I have swine fever and want to spare my colleagues ”. TIP: do not drive near the city
Tuesday: Morning run. For the boss: "I'm late because of the subway traffic". TIP: possibly bribe other subway commuters
Wednesday: Training rest day = working day. TIP: Explain aloud how long you stayed last night.
Thursday: swim in the evening. For the boss: “I have to pick up the children.” TIP: Have children
Friday: Bicycle unit. Question to the boss: "Did you see the bike messenger?" ... No? ... Oh crap! I have to pick up the post myself again. "
Saturday Sunday: CC 2 insignificant emails with the boss to show goodwill
Oh by the way ..
Olivier, the Belgian from Munich, was anonymous up here
Cheers!
Hi Dominik,
good idea! I've wanted to do that here in the office building for a long time anyway ... hehe
Then the boys and girls would first have to earn their food in the canteen (6th floor) 😉
Hey oliver,
Well with these tips I am surprised that you don't want to remain anonymous !! 🙂
But I can see that you have the work under control, the only stressful one is probably your training.
Speaking of children ... especially when they are small, they are sure to get sick often. Of course you can't leave them at home alone and have to stay away from work that day for better or worse ... haha
thanks for your feedback so far!

Hello Michael,
Incidentally, the tip about swimming was from me 😉 I'm not in sales but in purchasing, but I'm usually once a week at our plant in Augsburg. On the way back to Munich I always try to set it up (by the way, I'm sitting in a meeting in Augsburg and then go swimming 🙂)
Hotels are a good keyword. There are 1. Houses that meanwhile put “running route plans” on the pillow in the room (happened to me at the Courtyard in Berlin Mitte, for example) and 2. Some even have acceptable fitness rooms (ergometers, treadmills, weight machines).
greetings from Munich
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
that must be an exciting meeting that you are currently in :)))
I always wanted to move to Augsburg, did you know that most of the public holidays in Germany take place there?
They still celebrate the Augsburg Religious Peace there, a day off for the Augsburgers.
I am jealous!
have a good trip home!

I know that the people of Augsburg have the most public holidays, yes 🙂 Fortunately Munich only has one less 🙂
Soon to the end here, then let's go! Nice to head back east in the convertible 🙂
greetings
Dennis
