Hawaii chances at the Ironman Regensburg!

Hello boys and girls,

today I am addressing the good age group athletes specifically. If you are already very strong and at some point toying with a start as a professional, why not now at the Ironman Regensburg? Officially, only two professionals have been registered so far, Faris and Sonja. Both already have the qualifications or, as a former Hawaii winner, you never need to pick up anywhere again 😉

As far as I know, the new regulation states that once the “Ironman professional license” has been acquired, the person can register for all Ironman races without additional entry fee costs. (apart from Hawaii and Clearwater of course) 

But before you book the entire flight and accommodation in Kona, you better wait for the competition on August 1st;)) There are still a few catches!

1. Should the race at Challenge Roth or Ironman Frankfurt not go as hoped for a top starter, they could of course also opt for a spontaneous start in Regensburg.
2. I could imagine that the organizer would not include "every" professional there in the start list (if he "may" prevent that according to the new rules), it would be a great opportunity for him to meet his professional starters from Frankfurt To enable a Hawaii qualification at short notice, the race shouldn't go that way there 😉
3. In order to get the slot, according to the new regulation it is also necessary that you should slowly roll into the finish yourself within 8% after the winning time. Otherwise you will get nothing! When it comes to prize money, the limit is even 5%, so don't count on the quick repayment of your home loan and savings loan 😉

If, apart from Faris and Sonja, nobody else wants to start there, then the three qualifying places would be gone for nothing, well ... no end of the world.
