Successful run & bike at the Tiergarten!

Hello everybody,

I have only good things to say about yesterday's Run & Bike. When the weather was very nice, almost 100 “endurance enthusiasts” stormed our registration tables at the zoo from 9 a.m. Not knowing what to expect from 10 a.m. after the starting gun schuss

The evening before, Steffen and I had scattered sawdust over the entire route for two hours when it was getting dark. After about 30 arrows that we had marked on the ground, the bag was all and the route was well marked. Early in the morning I drove to the launch site in a car packed to the brim. There were two tables, a beer bench, two chairs, 60 liters of water and 8 liters of apple juice, 200 plastic cups, 15 pieces of cake, marking tapes, banners, signs, adhesive tapes, etc ...

Thank God I was able to count on the active support of my Julia and the helpers all morning! Be it to take over the timekeeping, to act as a “living” turning marker or to jet up and down the route as a “lead vehicle” including camera responsibility while the organizer was busy with the press 😉 - below is today's article in the Nürnberger Nachrichten -

Here are a few impressions and the results below: (on the right you can see the complete set of images)

all participants are still in a good mood 😉

Shortly before the start of the first group, which ran 2 laps (17km). The first runner starts right away ...

... and knocks off his teammate after 300m. Which then also takes off.

Immediately after teeing off, the first trots to the waiting mountain bike and waits for his colleague. When this is there, there are two of us!

The starters over the 8.5km trial distance were visibly more nervous than the veterans. But that's still guaranteed!

Here the winners over the 17km on the home straight, in a good 55 minutes. The picture is deceptive, 90% the route ran up and down through the Reichswald. Only at the end could the teams put their feet back on the familiar asphalted ground.

Exhausted but happy 😉
... just like the organizer krelli :))

A really cool event that everyone involved had great fun. I will soon post the video that Steffen shot in death defying acrobatics while cycling 🙂
