... something like my last days looked like.
I spent the last evenings on Friday and Saturday at the Lichtenfelser Korbmarkt, the largest festival in the region. Although the name doesn't sound very exciting, “the cow flies there!” 🙂 Equipped with the borrowed baby carriage from Judith and Tobi, we made our way through the crowds. Despite 150 decibels, the little one slept like a rock and we were able to park our empty beer mugs in the carrying net of the car.
After a night of partying, I went to the climbing garden at Kloster Banz on Saturday with my new second division team ASC Kronach and the boys. A pretty large area that teaches fear. Although I used to be a ski jumper and thought that fear of heights is nothing that puzzles me, I was standing on the tree tops with shaky knees at a height of 10 meters and held onto the dangling rope like a drowning man 😉
A really cool experience that everyone should have, a playground for adults !! During the day I continued to write like a world champion, we are through with the training chapters. Then there are the different training plans and competition tips and then we should slowly approach the end. There will be a big toast in October.
I have not forgotten the chapter about sport in everyday work and will publish a lot here, but I haven't had the time yet. After we have given the text to the publisher, that will change!
Biathlon in Eckersmühlen
Next Saturday Bennie, Steffen and I are going to start a really funny event. Biathlon - consisting of running and shooting! Everyone is run three times a 1100m long parkour and fired 5 shots with the rifle in between. For each missed shot, an extra 300m must be run. If you have finished the whole thing three times, you pass it on to the next member of the team. The secret is to run at full throttle for the first 1000m, but to get your pulse down a bit during the last 100m so as not to lie at the rifle with trembling hands and trembling breath.
While Bennie was a sniper in the Finnish military and Steffen is the reigning “King of Shooting”, I will probably take care of the extra runs 🙂 I just hope that the targets are not quite as small as in the real biathlon on the trail. In case I just run 3x 2600m without stopping at the shooting range 🙂
Youngsters wanted
The VFR Herpersdorf organizes a viewing competition for young people from 9-14 years of age who are enthusiastic about cycling. The 'Schnupper' cycle race will take place on September 27, 2009 in the Kaufland Großschwarzenlohe car park, at 3:30 p.m. No entry fee.
Some will then benefit from the youth program. So if you have the future Jan Ullrich in the nursery and he / she only plays the Playstation all day, then go!
Skin clean!
