As previously threatened, we went to the first Triathlon Sailfish Night in Langen (Frankfurt) on Saturday. The “Who's Who” of the triathlon scene met there yesterday evening in the town hall of Langen, or in German: Hinz and Kunz.
Then why was the Krelli there, you might ask now? Thanks to Frank Wechsel from spomedis Verlag, my girlfriend and I were on the guest list, so thank you again for that.
So we all sat between triathlon stars like Stadler, Bracht, Chris McCormack, etc ... and ate tomorrow's basic unit from the rich buffet when suddenly my lottery number was called out! In addition, it should be said that tickets were sold for a raffle with which one could win very nice presents. So I trotted forward to the stage and picked up my new mobile lactate meter!
Some prices were then rather exotic, such as the individual sports car seat. What should you do with just one seat, I would probably have put it on ebay right away ... haha
Afterwards the party really started and the dance floor was stormed, here everyone could prove the flexibility they had acquired in training. All in all, a successful event with a few small areas for improvement ... at half past ten the water ran out! Or maybe it was intended that way, so that people should have a decent drink from time to time 😉
Unfortunately we couldn't stay until the end because I still had the car full of things for my brother. I was allowed to carry this with him at 1 a.m. in the middle of Frankfurt four floors up to his new apartment. Then we went to the Irish Pub. After a few beers there, the idea came up that we should try the lactate meter out on the street, and instead of taking the subway back, just run through the middle of the city to his apartment. Fortunately, at this point in time there were still some sensible people in our small group who did not want to sprint 5km at -3 degrees in their go-out gear ... What a pity 😉
a good start to the week!
