Today two things at once, first an invitation to a small but nice event nearby and then a short summary of my friends and acquaintances who started the last competitions of this season all over the place.
if your in the mood for a cool one Cross triathlon at the end of the season and that in the middle of a sand pit, then this would be just the thing for you:
Next Sunday on September 13th the first cross tria takes place near Roth / Nuremberg. The big advantage is it doesn't cost a cent entry fee !!! ... and that free events don't have to be worse and are also totally cool, that is shown by our 21km time trial that I organize every year.
• Start: 10 am
• Sand pit / excavator pond between Hügelmühle and Mosbach
• Distances:
- 600 m swimming in the Baggerweiher Mosbach

- 5 km cross-country run

Training control carried out a timing. (which means something like, it's a competition but only for fame and honor !!! 😉 ... but because of insurance law issues, let's get away with the official term "training".

When you register, write a little greeting from me! Maybe we'll see you there when I've got my mountain bike back on the road by then.
Half Ironman Monaco and Cologne 226:
So far, at least from Monaco, I know that Frank got off his bike when he was 12 and Andi when he was 21. Ok, now the results are online, Frank finished 19th and Andie 45th overall. Clean guys, considering that before that you cycled down to Monaco in four days !!! Gerhard from Bamberg landed on a super 87th place, somehow it gets faster with age!
Tobi (athlete of the month) easily got under the target time of 11 hours with 10:54 in the long distance in Cologne.
Captain Chaos (aka Steffen Alex) was also on the way, he wanted to do the sprint distance in Cologne on Saturday and the middle distance the next day. Unfortunately, he already had an accident during the sprint distance in which his frame broke ... The middle distance then of course failed.
I was also with my parents on Sunday and the Sachsenring Triathlon took place there, in which I have already participated several times, a family event. There I saw my old lifeguard Daniel and Thomas join in. At some point it started to rain and I was glad that I was only standing at the edge of the track this time 😉
Many greetings
