Training log for April

After April was, apart from the last few days, just a dream for training, I'll briefly summarize my training.

Amazingly for me, my running quota has been higher than the last two months. Somehow it didn't seem like that to me at all. I was able to expand my cycling a little further and this year I cycled over 1000km for the first time. When swimming I took something out at the same time, the many holidays and the related cancellation of the club swimming times were probably one of the reasons for this. Furthermore, sometimes I just didn't have the strength to go to the swimming pool in the evening. If you have the opportunity, swim early !! Then it is out of the way, you are always fresh for training and do not skip any units. Swimming in the evening and having trained beforehand every time is not exactly good for motivation 😉

I was pleased that during the first two competitions, especially when running, the first progress was visible. So I improved my HM time by 5:30 minutes compared to the previous year and also in training I managed to run an average of 4:18 / km during my long run at an approximate long-distance competition pace.

my balance sheet in April:

approx. 75 hours in total,
39km swim
285km run
1050km cycling

and here are the individual weekly plans:

Units marked in red are competitions, the number markings mean the order of the units throughout the day. The average heart rate and a brief description of the unit are always given. Framed blocks are coupling units.

The foundation would be finished, of course it is never completely finished, but now the hot training phase for the Challenge Roth begins! As Peter Reid always said, "You can do any crap all year round, but the last 8 weeks of training before the Ironman are the ones that count."

skin in!

PS: By the way, you can just watch the videos on the right in the bar. I've already received a few questions about whether you have to pay for it? No, these are YouTube links, everything is free!
