everything is not so bad ...
Hello everybody,
the last few weeks I completed a special kind of hurdles race to officially apply for my two small races this year, I had more contact with German authorities!
First of all, it took me days! to find the right contact person at all. Then I wrote letters completely unsuspecting, sent out marked maps and route plans, and that without sticking to the form. The good thing about it was that it wasn't that wild. So far I have always been kindly but firmly reminded to send that ... and that.
For example, my first route plans naturally backfired with the help of Google Maps. But when I then use the maps of the Bavarian surveying office, I was suddenly the incarnated dream supplicant of the German civil servant!
The enthusiasm was great ... it's really easy 😉

After my renewed request a week or two later, however, the "rocky road" to the registered event was revealed to me! The route I used for the time trial on May 29th submitted, actually affects! seven localities and two districts.
The office has now started a "hearing process", like ... what is that I thought to myself ?!
All seven localities, the two districts and the respective police stations of these two districts must now agree, reject or impose conditions in the hearing process of my route!
My first thought: "Never in my life do I get permission !!!"
The officer immediately calmed me down with the words, "It won't be that bad."
All right, the competition is supposed to take place at the end of May, “when can I expect a valid decision?” Don't worry, was the answer. "We'll know in April."
Wow, a month before ... well at least.
But in the quiet little room I think about an alternative route 😉
in this sense, keep your alternatives!
