for our 2010 season in the 2nd Triathlon Bundesliga, which starts in a few weeks, we have only had to accept bad news so far. From our initially strong starting contingent, three men have now dropped out 🙁
Franky Neumannwho, after Hawaii last October, wanted to finally concentrate on the shorter distances this year, has now had to take a break for almost four weeks because of a fatigue fracture in his foot. Well, cheer up Frank! Now you can learn smartly for your studies 😉
A few days ago I already told you something about my shoulder problems and the now imminent operation. Unfortunately, I am also unable to attend.
But worst of all is my buddy Steffen Alex Caught! He hasn't been able to run a single meter for four months! I really care about his story and you can feel really sorry for the poor guy. I spoke to him on the phone today. He is currently in the hospital and had an operation on his ankle on Monday. The joint was so destroyed that the doctors could actually only do damage limitation. At the age of 32 he will probably never run again, let alone run a triathlon: ((((
Also known as Captain Chaos he had his best races in Hawaii in 2007 and in Roth in 2009, where he crossed the finish line in an insane 8:32 hours!
Here are some key facts about Steffen:

If you want to write him a few nice words for recovery: SteffenAlex (at) gmx.de
He'll be happy about it!
So, if you are injured or have any complaints all the time, have yourself examined and see a doctor! I know triathletes are tough, and they just like to keep training if they have a problem. But if you do this for too long, the sport may end at some point, and I do not wish that to any of you!
Of course it will still start our team in the 2nd league, our failures are replaced by those who train no less diligently Philipp Stadter, Stefan Braun, Sebastian Sticker and Christoph Schmidt. Led by Andreas Dreitzwho is currently so fit that he will probably win one or two league races!
skin in!

Hey Krelli,
you and your teammates get well soon. Cheer up, the shoulder will be fine again!

How stupid do you have to be to feel sorry for such triathletes. As you wrote in an earlier report, the young man must have trained beyond measure. He's only paying the bill for a careless way of training that did exactly what he's now suffering from. I don't feel sorry for that, but would rather recommend everyone to avoid these sports addiction-like training methods. Guys, use your brain while exercising !!!
Why are you all hurt? Because you train too much and too hard. To pity yourselves now and to say what great triathletes you are, I consider inappropriate.
I praise the age groups who have been doing their sport for decades for just one reason to stay healthy!
As a book author, you glorify methods that lead to long-term injuries! That doesn't make any sense to me.
Five years ago you drilled your body to maximum performance in a very short time and now you have to take this into account. If your current trainer and co-author has not pointed out to you in advance that you are brutally vulnerable to injury at this level, then you should consider a change!
Hi,
why is the post not visible at first? Quite simply because I have to activate it first.
Sometimes some "brainless" people post insults, etc. of all kinds under the protection of anonymity. So I had to change that to the current system at the time.
You are of course free to feel sorry for yourself or not. First of all, it should be said that my book is about “training in harmony with the family and the job”, so the scope method is NOT being propagated! But to be able to do the sport long and healthy with loved ones.
Please read it first before you form an opinion about it, the training part was written by my co-author Bennie Lindberg. I can send you one if you give me your address.
Detached from this are these injury stories here, which probably appear more often in other clubs than you think. That with Steffen, who is now in the hospital, is a hereditary weakness in the cartilage formation, so it is not only related to his sport.
Except me, because honestly, an average of 12 hours of training a week, which I did for 5 years, I don't find it comparable to some other or even professional athletes. It's definitely not the healthiest range, but it's better than hanging around in front of the TV 12 hours a week.
What sometimes becomes the boys' undoing is their passion for the sport. Why else do triathletes or other athletes train in their free time without paying a cent? If you only do triathlons to stay healthy, there are definitely more time-saving and cheaper methods for doing this.
Please do not generally judge people who want to keep improving in what they do and who practice the sport for reasons of performance and the will to compete.
In triathlon, as in all other sports, the following applies:
"Without competitive sport there is no mass sport and without mass sport there is no competitive sport"
Hello Anonymous - you have a strange name?!?!
You are far from being able to call people “stupid” and we can confidently do without sympathy.
If you know exactly how to train properly, why have I never heard of a man or woman “anonymously”.
I hope you will stay healthy all your life, as you probably have perfect genetic requirements and train ideally.
Best Regards
just briefly to the first point with the comments, which will only be activated.
It is not primarily about unqualified comments, because these are really very rare, but about spam and dubious advertising! Apparently there is a “Mafia” out there in the vastness of the World Wide Web, which tries to fill millions of blogs every day with some kind of links or other crap.
