Preparation time trial

Yesterday evening I rode through all the villages that are on the track for the time trial on Saturday. I think it is very important to have signs that tell residents and drivers what is going to be going on on their street in such a race. Otherwise, everyone is wondering where all the cyclists come from at the weekend? Farmer Wilhelm might just remember on Saturday morning that he still has to quickly bring all the beets to the feeding place and then block the entire road!

All in all, I only had a good response. Especially in Hirschbach, when I was putting up the signs on the market square, an entire column of elderly women came marching out of their gardens to see what kind of fittings I “dirty” their beautiful place with. After 10 minutes of discussion, in which I explained the process of a racing bike individual time trial to the girls in great detail, they were finally thrilled and promised to stand by the track with whistles 🙂

A total of around 100 men and 12 women will shoot along the route on Saturday. We are of course all happy about spectators. So if you are cycling nearby anyway, come by for a jump! Afterwards there is a big barbecue and binge drinking (with apple spritzer and co. 😉 directly at the sports field Eschenbach.
