Spontaneously I set off on my bike this morning at around 7:00 a.m. for the duathlon in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. After almost two hours, I arrived just before the start. Here a big thank you to Andi, who signed up for me.
It should be one last hard unit to end the training week, garnished with a 110km basic ride there and back. So I decided to start on the sprint distance, the other would have been too much for me. In addition, I still had a little something in my legs from the day before 😉
So my competition surprised me all the more. Halfway through, I took the lead in the first run at KM 2.5 and significantly expanded it in cycling. Thank God I can only say, because I didn't have to run that hard in the end because I was somehow knocked out a bit 😉 Although this result is in the absence of well-known names, I am probably the fastest time in this competition so far ran, at least what I saw when I skimmed the results for the past 10 years.
Summary: I was very satisfied!

The event is urgently looking for more helpers for next year. Otherwise it can happen that the duathlon in Sulzbach-Rosenberg took place for the last time this year! So if you live nearby and want to give something back to your sport, then join in. All athletes are happy about it !!!
