The second edition of the Hirschbachtal time trial took place on Saturday. This year exactly 130 participants came together in friendly weather and had a lot of fun! Not only that there were almost 40 more starters than last year, no, this year there was also real celebrities at the start. The residents of the surrounding towns, who had hardly heard anything about time trials or triathlons before, came in droves to see the Hawaii winner Faris, the duathlon world champion Ulrike Schwalbe or the really fast time trial specialists like Adelheid Schütz and the winner from Brazil Ricardo Mariene-Wickert.
Of course, I don't want to forget anyone here, so you can find the complete list of results attached. Unfortunately I couldn't start as an organizer, otherwise I would of course have ... well you know;))
The route was shortened this year due to a 100 year celebration, to exactly 19.7 km. Towards the turning point it went steadily with 2-3%, slightly uphill. A total of 110 HM had to be overcome.
Kudos at this point again to all the numerous helpers, Jörg our “time master” and the voluntary fire brigade, without you such an event would not have been possible, thank you !!
