At the 2nd edition of Run & Bike through the old town of Nuremberg it was hot this year, and not just because of the dreamy weather! Local hero Hannes Schmidt and his team-mate Thomas Hofmann took the overall victory in a dominant manner. To do this, they completed the 11km long route in 35 minutes. Impressive if you take into account that 115 meters of altitude had to be overcome. But the two running specialists from Fürth Christine Ramsauer and Christa Hörner also won their run in a strong time of 43 minutes.

A total of 120 participants took to the track in front of around 50,000 spectators. Many of you for the repeated time. Actually, I already know half of the starting field personally 😉 In addition to the many exciting duels, the little heroes in particular thrilled the audience at the boards. The youngest participant Philipp was just 4 years old.

Once again, a big thank you to all sponsors of the race, especially GfK. Thanks also to chooza for the cool jerseys. Congratulations to all participants, you were great!

I would also like to expressly praise my helpers, without them the organization would simply be impossible for me. I had a lot of fun again, even if I would have liked to run along. Well, today I have at least a lot of color on my face and a hotter voice 🙂

Here are the results: (it should be noted that at the beginning 2x 250m runs had to be completed)

A nice start into the week!
