It goes very fast! Before the Ironman World Championships in Nice and Hawaii, the Ironman 70.3 World Championships took place on half the distance in Lahti. A spectacular course through the beautiful Finnish landscape. My athletes Aline Barre and Kevin Rolfe were there.
This year Aline was a licensed rider for the Wheeldivas Berlin cycling team in the Bundesliga and also at the German track and road championships. Her cycling form was correspondingly strong, although we had to quickly add some swimming and running back into the training plan shortly before the race. Kevin, who is now an experienced long-distance athlete and has also taken part in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii and Utah, is originally from running and was delighted with the undulating running route in Lahti.
Both delivered a good race and had a lot of fun. While Aline is heading into the season finale with a few bike races, Kevin is starting the Ironman Arizona in November. Good luck to you both and keep it up!
sunny greetings
