The weekend was all about the two-day photo shoot for my new book with photographer Michael Rauschendorfer. So far I have only been able to admire his pictures on the covers of international magazines and journals. Now I have witnessed his art myself. Every image was meticulously planned down to the last detail, which cost us a lot of time, but the results more than make up for it. You can see one of them above.
The story behind the picture was as follows: Get up on Saturday at 5 a.m., exactly an hour later we were standing in the area around Nuremberg with freezing cold but clear skies and sunshine. Now at 3 degrees I forced myself into the short things and on the time trial bike. Fifteen minutes later I was frozen through and had to thaw my numb hands in the car heater. But it looks great. I would have had difficulties with my digicam to get that done 😉
Two days of 14 hour shootings and we have just finished the last picture (Chuck Norris). I am enthusiastic, but also flat ...
A nice start into the week!
