Landed yesterday and back in the country! The second week in Cyprus was also very wheel-heavy. The highlight was the trip to Mount Olympus. The last 30km of permanent ascent, and all tricamper mastered it brilliantly. The weather was just great, we had sunshine almost every day at 20 degrees. I never expected the time of year. On average, Cyprus is about 5 degrees warmer than Mallorca and the larger island of both. So I can only recommend it.
We stayed at the Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos in the east of the island. A public 50m outdoor pool is 500m from the hotel. However, the east is quite profiled, so longer flat stages are only possible on the coastal roads. Towards the west it becomes flatter. Although I personally find mountains more exciting than hovering around on the plain for hours 😉
Today is a rest day, a lot of work and from tomorrow it's all back to business!
Rock'n roll
